Anti-Heroes show up in many of our favorite stories, from comic books to video games, blockbuster movies, and anime. Well known anti-heroes from media: Wolverine, Hulk, Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty), Wario (Nintendo), V (V for Vendetta), Arya Stark (Game of Thrones), Jack Sparrow (The Pirates of the Caribbean), Light Yagami (a.k.a. Kira from Death Note), and even Shrek!
Here are some anti-hero thoughts to spark story ideas for the 2/7 show.
- Have you been the unlikely hero? Or maybe you were called a hero when you didn’t feel like one…
- Are you dealing with a chaotic trait you thought you should hide only to realize that’s what makes you the beautiful person you are?
- Are you working through self-doubt or imposter syndrome?
- Maybe you’ve got a story involving Kafka’s Metamorphosis or any of Kerouac’s work?
- Or maybe you’re a Swiftie with a tale you can’t resist.
- Ever dated a psychopath or narcissist who was well liked or successful?
- Got a story about a time you rooted for the bad guy?
- Even parents play the “bad guy” when we’re young to save us from ourselves
There are so many options for stories about an anti-hero!
