Art of Orlando Main Streets, a vibrant exhibition celebrating creativity, culture, and community in the heart of Orlando. This exciting showcase will feature diverse artistic perspectives and provide artists with an opportunity to exhibit their work in a dynamic setting that attracts residents, visitors, collectors, and art enthusiasts.
We are seeking original works across a variety of mediums, including: Painting, Drawing, Photography, Mixed Media, Sculpture, Digital Art, Fiber Arts, Printmaking, Contemporary and Experimental Media

Submission Information
Artists are encouraged to submit their strongest and most compelling work. All submitted artwork must be original and ready for exhibition display. Additional submission requirements, artwork specifications, and notification dates will be provided in the official application materials.

Notification of Acceptance: Wednesday, August 12, 2026
Dates of Exhibit: Thursday, August 20, 2026 – Saturday, September 12, 2026
Third Thursday Opening Reception: August 20, 2026. 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Art Drop Off: Sunday, 08/16/26 and Monday, 08/17/26 from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Art Pick Up: Sunday, 09/13/26, and Monday, 09/14/26 from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Application Fee: Free, Sponsored by Orlando Health. Submit up to 4 pieces
Gallery Commission: 30%
CityArts Entry Procedure:
Labeling: All submissions MUST be labeled on the back of each piece with the following information: Artist’s Name, and Title. If multiple works are submitted, each piece must be clearly labeled to match your online submission form. Unlabeled artwork may be denied at drop-off.
Jurying: Art work acceptance is subject to being juried at the time of drop off. Art work not accepted cannot be left behind.
Condition of Work: Any piece that is still wet or not fully dry at drop-off will be denied. Please ensure that all mediums, varnishes, or sealants are fully dry before delivery.
Hanging: All pieces must be ready to hang upon delivery. We reserve the right to deny any pieces that are not display-ready. Acceptable hardware: D-rings with wire (no sawtooth hangers). Sculptures must be self-supporting or come with appropriate display hardware. If your work requires alternative installation methods, please provide details for approval in advance.
Shipping: If you are not local, you are responsible for shipping your artwork to and from CityArts. CityArts is not responsible for loss, damage, or delays during shipping. All shipped work must include a prepaid return label and proper packaging for safe transport. Incomplete or improperly labeled shipments will not be returned.
Certificates: If your piece has a certificate of authenticity, it must be adhered to the back of the artwork. Loose certificates are subject to being lost.
Packaging: Artists are responsible for bringing and reusing their own packaging materials for transport to and from CityArts. All boxes, crates, bubble wrap, and protective materials must be taken back by the artist after drop-off or pickup. CityArts cannot store or return packaging, and any materials left behind may be discarded. CityArts is not responsible for lost, discarded, or damaged packaging materials.
Withdrawals: If an artist chooses to withdraw a piece after acceptance, CityArts must be notified immediately. Submission fees are non-refundable.
Image Documentation: All artwork must be properly documented for online submission. Submitted images should clearly and accurately represent the final artwork. Poor-quality or misleading images may result in disqualification. Images should be well-lit, in focus, and free of glare, reflections, or distortion. Works photographed behind glass should be positioned to minimize glare, and images must be correctly oriented (not sideways or upside down). CityArts reserves the right to deny consideration to any submission that does not accurately reflect the artwork’s true appearance.
Incomplete Submissions: Incomplete submissions will not be accepted. All sections of the application form, including image uploads, artwork details, and payment (if applicable), must be completed in full by the stated deadline.Submissions cannot be partially filled out or altered after the deadline. Artwork must also be completed and ready to display at the time of drop-off. Works that are still in progress, unfinished, or significantly different from the submitted image will be denied at drop-off. No exceptions will be made.
Accepted Artwork Only: Only the artworks that have been officially accepted through the jurying process may be delivered for installation. Artists may not substitute or add new works in place of unaccepted pieces or include additional works that were not selected. Any artwork that was not included in the official acceptance email will not be installed under any circumstance. Submitting alternate or replacement pieces without prior written approval from CityArts staff will result in disqualification from the current and future exhibitions.
Show Policies – by submitting your work you agree to the following:
All works submitted must be original works created by the Artist, and the Artist must control all necessary rights of use and reproduction. If any third party disputes the Artist’s claims of ownership, originality, or copyrights, CityArts will not mediate the dispute or become involved. The work at issue will be removed and returned to the Artist. No refund will be provided.
CityArts does not accept artwork created using artificial intelligence (AI) tools, generators, or programs. All submitted work must be created by the Artist’s own hand, using traditional or digital techniques that reflect original artistic intent and execution. If any portion of a submitted work is determined to be AI-generated, CityArts reserves the right to disqualify the piece immediately and remove it from the exhibition without refund.
It is recommended and requested that the Artist attend the Third Thursday opening, and that the Artist promote the Third Thursday opening reception to your network, using the event reservation protocols that are being used by CityArts.
All sales will be reconciled within 30 days of the show closing. Artists should include a legal name on submission if it is different from their working name.
After-show closing, all work must be picked up on the day(s) indicated for pickup. CityArts is not responsible for damage during storage to any work not picked up after the posted pick up date. Any art not picked up within 14 days of the show closure will become the property of CityArts.
CityArts will make every effort to carefully handle and protect work, however, CityArts cannot be held liable for damage to work that you submit, or for any personal injury you may sustain while participating at CityArts shows. You agree to bear all risk of loss and damage.
Neither CityArts nor the Downtown Arts District, Inc. is liable for theft of any work displayed within the premises. CityArts and DAD make reasonable efforts to maintain a secure premise for our Artists and their works, but the Artist must accept all risks of loss due to theft.
Neither CityArts nor the Downtown Arts District insures any art work displayed. Artists are welcome to provide their own insurance.
By submitting your work, you agree to allow your artwork to be photographed and posted online or in promotional materials with proper attribution.
