The In-Between Series: Afro-Puerto Rican Rhythms
The In-Between Series is the Downtown Arts District’s monthly music series featuring musicians who perform a range of classical to experimental music. Each event occurs the Monday before the 3rd Thursday Gallery Hop “in-between” exhibits scheduled at CityArts Orlando. The In-Between Series: Afro-Puerto Rican Rhythms

Percussionist Dimas Sanchez and dancer Barbara Liz Cepeda will perform and discuss Afro-Puerto Rican Rhythms, with a little bit of history, demonstration of the rhythms and dance, and applications in modern music. Sanchez will highlight and demonstrate the music’s connection to the New Orleans Jazz tradition both historically and rhythmically.
