DESCRIPTION:The In-Between Series is the Downtown Arts District’s monthly music series featuring musicians who perform a range of classical to experimental music. Each event occurs the Monday before the 3rd Thursday Gallery Hop “in-between” exhibits scheduled at CityArts Orlando. \nIn partnership with the Timucua Arts Foundation \nThe In-Between Series: Afro-Puerto Rican Rhythms  \nNovember 18th \n*Starts promptly at 7:00pm* \nPercussionist Dimas Sanchez and dancer Barbara Liz Cepeda will perform and discuss Afro-Puerto Rican Rhythms\, with a little bit of history\, demonstration of the rhythms and dance\, and applications in modern music. Sanchez will highlight and demonstrate the music’s connection to the New Orleans Jazz tradition both historically and rhythmically. \n$5 donation \n*we accept cash and credit cards at the door

You are always welcome at CityArts\, the home of the Downtown Arts District. \nIn this season of gratitude\, we hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving. \nSincerely\, \nThe Downtown Arts District’s board of directors and staff \n \nKristi Burke is an Orlando-based visual artist and muralist. Her style often mimics stained glass and mosaics with relaxed line work and loose\, rainbow hues. Making art that soothes her soul and sparks happiness has always been her heart’s mission.
